Session 1 of the new york/leeds joint campaign, for level 1 characters. This session will be mostly confirming characters, scene setting, and a choice of 1 of 2 encounters - 'escape the mob' or 'arrest him!'

For those not involved in the ongoing choas scar campaign there will be a chance to play in an all Dwarf All Divine Delve.
3 players so far have taken up the challenge. We have a runepriest, paladin and possible invoker or avenger so that leaves you a cleric or doubling up. Its level 5 and pregens will be available.

With the Hobgolin raiders repealled the banner they flew has fears of a Red Hand resurgence spreading like wildfire through the city. And who is this Sinruth they salute.
With your deed that evening having been witnessed by many, particularly the felling of the ogre bombardier, other rumours are rippling through the city... Brindol has bourne more potential heros. And where were Megan Swiftblade and her Freeriders in Brindols hour of need.
You retreat for the night and are met in the morning by a valet bearing a summons for an audience with Lord Eoffram Troyas. Although the valet does not speculate, this clearly concerns last nights events.
The Scales of War campaign will have a strict six seat limit.
There are still two seats remaining and if you are interest please contact me for campaign and character creation details.
At each campaign night seats will be reserved for existing players. Should there be any vacant seats these will be offered to other player as drop-in seats for that session.

Come along to Travelling Man York and Leeds, and have a go with the new starter set to Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition. The D&D Red Box has both a retro look and feel, and comes with 4 new builds for classic classes such as the slayer - a striker with the defenses and hp of a defender, the thief, a swift and deadly backstabbing striker, the warpriest, a divine leader capable of bringing the fight to the enemy, and the mage, a spell wielding student of an arcane school.

Suspicious, over the death of one of the Mckensie brothers, and with tracks leading out of the village and into a nearby set of rocks, Al'ctaral, the village elder, demands that you prove yourself by destroying the frost giant that attacked you.
Before you go, he scowls at the fey and spits in her face before touching the powerful sword he wields to her hands, chaining them up again. He then looks at the shining hulk of the warforged cleric 'A servant of Bahamut aren't you... well, I'll entrust her into your hands' and he taps the sword against Corin, chaining it to the eladrin. 'If you believe she is innocent, then the chains will fall away...'
Before you can gather supplies or anything beyond a few farm tools and basic weapons, you are shoved and pushed along by the gathered crowd of villagers...
NOTE: Any characters surviving this session will be levelled up to level 12.

On Wednesday the 22nd of September, our partner in crime at York, Bob, takes up the reins of D&D Encounters. Putting his experience of organsing and running Travelling Man York's Magic the Gathering games to good use, we're sure that you'll enjoy the 20 weeks of roleplaying, running through to Feb 2nd 2011!. This season of D&D Encounters is 5 chapters of 4 sessions, with characters reaching level 2 at the start of chapter 3, and level 3 at the start of chapter 5.
Please note, that the characters for this season are Essentials buulds only, so pick up a copy of the Red Box boxed set, and the Heores of the Fallen Lands book, both out in september before the Encounters program starts, to get a head start on building one of the new simplified builds for Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition.
