First up a request, if your playing in the campaign on monday night against the frost giant... can you email me your character builder (.dnd4e file) file to adam@leedsdnd.co.uk, failing that, make sure I can have the file via usb stick etc on monday night. I'm going to be trying a new piece of software on my tablet that uses the file

Secondly, so people are aware of the house rules i'm imposing during the campaign:

1. No monks

2. Standing up from prone. You can do this as a move action and risk an opportunity attack, or you can use a standard action to stand up, and in doing so, protet yourself and not suffer an OA.

3. Magic Missile - you can either take this power as was first written in the PHB, or as it has been erratta'ed

4. Skill checks in combat will, with the exception of heal checks be part of the action in which they are used or a minor action. So - charging and jumping over a barrel will be a standard with an athletics/acrobatics check. Shifting into shadows and hiding will be a move with a stealth check. A monster knowledge check will be a minor.

5. Some session will be 1 encounter, some more. I won't be informing you of how many encounters there are, but I will inform you when it's safe to take an extended rest. If you ignore my advice, there is the risk of wandering monsters...

6. If you bring a character thats a monster race, you better have a jolly good background, or risk the other characters and villagers turning on you.

7. Character death. In addition to any potions and rituals that can resurrect, the temple in the village others a service. It costs 250 gold, and each surviving party member loses a healing surge permanently. If your character is killed and the players fail to resurrect within 2 extended rests, your character is killed outright.

8. No sunrods, and i'll be enforcing torch light
