Who Are ‘Leeds D&D’
Leeds D&D started out as one guy, running 4th edition intro games on behalf of Wizards of the Coast, and in co-operation with Travelling Man. This quickly grew into a core group of dedicated fans, who wanted to do something more than just kill monsters...

While the group still runs 4th edition intro games as part of its fort-nightly dungeon delve nights, it also hosts a monthly campaign, designed to still be a casual affair, with characters being able to drop in and out of the storyline.

We also like to go the whole hog for Wizards' worldwide games day's to support the launch of new core books. At the last one, for DMG2, not only was there the free adventure and free mini's provided by Wizards, but there was food, colouring in, displays of the latest mini's, previews and exclusive material, and other freebies. We're looking forward to doing it all again for the launch of PHB3.

Dungeon Delve Nights
Our fortnightly 4th edition intro nights are built around the delve night principle... 3 encounters of increasing difficulty, based on a simple theme.
All these delve nights are run at 3rd level, for valid RPGA characters, and dice, minis, and pre-generated characters are available. We use 3rd level characters because that way, if you want to generate your own using Wizards free character builder, you can do...

Campaign Nights
The monthly campaign nights are run slightly differently. Rather than being a turn up and play game, these nights have a strict limit on places, and its first come, first served i'm afraid.
However, because we don't like to turn people away, every other month, we'll also have a 2 encounter, higher level delve available for anyone unable to get a space on the campaign (characters for this are pre-gen only, available online).

The campaign nights are recommended for people who want to experi-ence more roleplaying, to develop a single character, and for people with a good grasp of the 4th edition mechanics.

When, Where, How Much?
The fortnightly sessions are Monday's, from about 5:30pm till about 8:30pm, in the basement of the Travelling Man. If you arrive after the shop closes at 5:30pm, you might need to knock on the door to let us know your there... Your first session is free, so feel free to turn up, have a go and see what it's like. If you come back for another delve night (and we recognise you...) there's a small, £1 charge to cover the room hire, insurance, materials etc. There is no charge for campaign nights, but a small donation is appreciated to cover the cost of snacks that are provided. Please note, Leeds D&D is run on a not for profit basis, and worldwide games day's are always free to play!

What Do I Need?
Ideally, all players need to have read the rules, either from the Players Handbook, or the quick play guide available for free online, but don’t worry if you haven’t we’ll do our best to teach you.

We try and provide all the dice, mini’s, pens and paper for the delve nights, so you can just turn up and play.
