Leeds Dungeons & Dragons - Promoting and running DnD 4th Edition in Leeds, York and beyond...

Leeds D&D started out as one guy, running Dungeons & Dragons 4th edition delve style intro games on behalf of Wizards of the Coast, and in co-operation with Travelling Man. This quickly grew into a core group of dedicated gaming fans, who wanted to do something more than just kill monsters... While the group still runs 4th edition intro games as part of its fortnightly dungeon delve nights, it also hosts two monthly campaigns, designed to still be a casual gaming affair, with characters being able to drop in and out of the storyline. We also like to go the whole hog for Wizards' worldwide games day's to support the launch of new core books. Look for the next games day, to support the launch of Dark Sun on the 21st of August, with games at both Leeds and York.

21st Dec - Delve Night

admin — Wed, 28/10/2009 - 21:54

With Travelling Man opening for Christmas, we're going to be running a special delve night for totally new players. Using only the tiles and counters from the D&D Starter Set, this will be a single encounter game, with level 1 pre-gens, and a special theme "Saan'tas Claws"

14th Dec - Campaign Night

admin — Wed, 28/10/2009 - 21:52

This campaign will start with the continuation of the campaign night of the 30th Nov. Whats happening with the warforged champions of Bahamut? With Markus dominated, will Grution just embarrass Markus, or have him turn on his friends? Will Grution escape?

Lessons Learnt From Mondays Delves

adam — Wed, 28/10/2009 - 10:18

The two adventures we ran on monday night were based on the theme of 'something stinks in the sewers of Fallcrest' and were very similar in design. They both consisted of an initial battle with bullywugs as the players entered the sewers, a short travel followed by an attack, a bit more travelling and then a boss battle in a bigger room.

D&DI: Barbarian Essentials

admin — Mon, 26/10/2009 - 10:33

I like barbarians... 4th edition is the first time I can say that... It's, to me, the first time they felt like something other than a fighter without armour and a bit of an attitude.

Campaign Info: Aftermath in the Black Paw

jamie — Wed, 21/10/2009 - 20:34

The Black Paw still stands as the party heads back to Fallcrest. Sometime later a shadowy figure appears in the forest. He is cloaked from head to toe in black robes. He walks past two wolf carcasses and looks at the door of the Black Paw and he sees through the window a broken table and a smouldering table. His frame seems to slump, “Not again” he whispers as he begins the walk to the door.

Primal Power: Barbarians

adam — Wed, 21/10/2009 - 19:21

The two new builds are nice...

Thunderborn - spirits of thunder gather around you, and your class feature is War Cry, an encounter close blast 3 which pushes targets 1 square when you kill an enemy

Whirling - an agile, two weapon build. the class feature has lots of benefits... Treat any one handed weapon as an off-hand weapon, shift 2 squares when you bloody an enemy and any adjacent enemies at the end of the shift grant you combat advantage, and whirling lunge... Encounter power when you kill an enemy, shift 2 qaures, and deal 1W from your off-hand weapon to any enemy you can see...
